In the past ten years, following the invention of hydrofracking as a method of natural gas extraction, the landscape of the Bakken Shale formation in North Dakota and Saskatchewan has radically transformed from agarian nowheresville to a boom situation of hyper-capital, technology, resource extraction, masculinity, and protest. GRNASFCK travelled to the Bakken Formation this summer to investigate.
